Kaelus IPA-1800A KIT1

The Kaelus iPA-1800A is a battery portable passive intermodulation analyser for 1800 MHz band site certification and fault finding. PIM faults degrade uplink sensitivity without showing up on a return loss sweep, so a dedicated analyser is the only reliable way to certify an antenna system before handover.

Verified performance: transmit ranges of 1805 to 1812 MHz and 1825 to 1880 MHz, receive range of 1710 to 1785 MHz, transmit carrier power of 0.1 to 20 W adjustable from +20 to +43 dBm in 1 dB increments, and residual PIM below -117 dBm/-160 dBc maximum and typically below -125 dBm/-168 dBc at two 20 W carriers. The instrument measures 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th order intermodulation products through a 7-16 DIN female RF output. Weight is 12 kg.

Measurement modes: PIM over frequency, PIM over time, and spectrum monitoring.

This kit is supplied in a hard transit case containing: iPA-1800A analyser, CIS-0001A PIM source, R92-0005 low PIM load, R18-0448 test lead with 7/16 male to 7/16 male terminations, R29-1851 32 mm torque wrench rated 25 Nm for 7/16 connectors, Channellock 8WCB adjustable wrench, high capacity battery, second lithium-ion battery, dual battery charging cradle, R92-0459 connector cleaning kit, and the R92-0460 adaptor kit covering 7/16 to 4.3-10 in all four gender combinations plus 4.3-10 female to female and 7/16 female to female.

Two batteries and a dual charging cradle ship with this kit, which supports a full day of tower work without mains power.
