Kaelus IPA-850A KIT1

The Kaelus iPA-850A is a battery portable passive intermodulation analyser for the 850 MHz band.

PIM faults degrade uplink sensitivity without appearing on a return loss sweep, so a dedicated analyser is the only reliable way to certify an antenna system before handover. Kaelus pioneered the first commercial PIM analyser and its testers are approved for work across all major Australian mobile networks.

Band coverage: transmit at 869 MHz and 879 to 894 MHz, receive at 824 to 849 MHz.

Shared series specification: transmit carrier power of 0.1 to 20 W, adjustable from +20 to +43 dBm in 1 dB increments; residual PIM below -117 dBm/-160 dBc maximum and typically below -125 dBm/-168 dBc at two 20 W carriers; 3rd, 5th and 7th order intermodulation products measured through a 7-16 DIN female RF output; 12 kg; removable 25.2 VDC, 3.45 Ah, 87 Wh lithium-ion battery packs.

Measurement modes: PIM over frequency, PIM over time, and spectrum monitoring.

Supplied in an R92-0445 transit and accessory case with: iPA-850A analyser, CIS-001A PIM source, PIL-005A PIM load, R18-0449 cable with 7/16 male to 7/16 female terminations, Bahco 9031 8 inch shifter, R29-1851 32 mm torque wrench rated 25 Nm for 7/16 connectors, lithium-ion batteries, and an R92-0443 dual battery charging cradle.
