Rohde & Schwarz FSW26 (1312.8000.26)

/

The Rohde & Schwarz FSW26 is a benchtop signal and spectrum analyser covering 2 Hz to 26.5 GHz, with a measurement range of -153 dBm to 30 dBm. It is specified for work where phase noise and dynamic range decide whether a measurement is trustworthy.

Verified performance: phase noise below -136 dBc (1 Hz) at a 1 GHz carrier with 10 kHz offset.

Options fitted to this unit: extension to 512 MHz signal analysis bandwidth including the 200 MHz IF filter; resolution bandwidth to 80 MHz; analog baseband inputs with 40 MHz analysis bandwidth; RF preamplifier giving 30 dB from 100 kHz to 26.5 GHz; electronic attenuator to 13.6 GHz in 1 dB steps; OCXO precision frequency reference with ageing of 3x10E-8 per year and temperature drift of 1x10E-9; the vector signal analysis application for modulation analysis on digitally modulated single carrier signals; and FSW-K40 phase noise measurement.

The 512 MHz analysis bandwidth is the specification that matters most on this unit. Wideband radar pulses and modern wideband modulation cannot be captured properly on a standard-bandwidth analyser, and retrofitting that option is a service-centre job rather than a field upgrade.

Typical applications: radar pulse measurement, vector signal analysis, phase noise characterisation of oscillators and synthesisers, amplifier distortion measurement, satellite payload test, and EMI investigation.

Supplied with: 3.5 mm female to female adapter, power cord, USB documentation, and an accessory bag.
