VIAVI MTS-4000v2 With 4136A KIT2

The VIAVI T-BERD/MTS-4000 V2 is a compact handheld modular optical test platform. VIAVI specifies it for all phases of the network lifecycle, from installation through to maintenance, across metro, core, access, FTTH, FTTx, HFC, wireless, 5G, enterprise and data centre networks.

The platform is dual-bay and modular, so the same mainframe carries OTDR, automated fibre microscope, broadband and selective power meter, and CWDM or DWDM modules. What the unit can do is therefore set by the module fitted, not the mainframe.

Module fitted: 4136A single mode tri-wavelength OTDR module.

Typical applications: fibre link characterisation and acceptance, fault and break location, splice and connector loss measurement, and maintenance testing on access and backbone fibre.

Supplied in a carry case with: MTS-4000 V2 mainframe, 4136A OTDR module, port saver and power supply.

A port saver is included because OTDR bulkhead connectors wear with repeated mating. Fit it before the first trace and the mainframe connector stays within specification for the whole hire.
