VIAVI MTS-5800 DUAL PORT 100G

The VIAVI T-BERD/MTS-5800-100G is a dual port handheld network tester for commissioning and troubleshooting transport links up to 100G. TMG hires this unit configured for data centre interconnect and carrier Ethernet work, supplied with optics, adapters and a calibration certificate.

Rate coverage runs from DSx/PDH at 1.5M/2M through to 112G OTU4, spanning 10 Mbps to 100G interfaces. Optical interfaces include SFP/SFP+/SFP28 and QSFP+/QSFP28/CFP4. One instrument therefore covers legacy TDM turn-ups and current-generation data centre interconnect commissioning without a second test set.

Licensed on this unit: 100GE, dual port and dual 10G operation, 10GE LAN and WAN, OTU4, SONET/SDH, PDH and legacy TDM rates, class of service, IPv6, J-Proof, VoIP, unframed BERT, GNSS and remote control.

Test standards supported: RFC 2544, ITU-T Y.1564 SAMComplete, RFC 6349 TrueSpeed, and IEEE 1588v2 precision timing to the G.8265.1 and G.8275.1 telecom profiles.

Typical applications: data centre interconnect commissioning, converged Ethernet and IP service activation, OTN turn-up, fibre link characterisation, and mobile backhaul validation.

Supplied in a carry bag with: MTS-5800-100G mainframe, 150 W power adapter, QSFP28 100G LR4 optic, 10GBASE-LR SFP+ optic, Ericsson CPRI and 10GBASE-LR SFP+, adapter pouch, GNSS antenna, carabiner strap, screen lid, stylus, and a document folder containing recommended optics, the calibration certificate and safety instructions.
